Regina writer Judith Krause has been named the fifth Poet Laureate of Saskatchewan. Her term will begin in January 2014. The Saskatchewan Arts Board, Saskatchewan Book Awards and the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild are partners in the Saskatchewan Poet Laureate program, which is under the patronage of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Arts Board presents Ag Art, a unique artist-in-residence program, at the 2013 Canadian Western Agribition this week. Regina visual artist Brendan Schick will guide visitors in creating animals, buildings, fences, and landscape by using collage, painting and stencils. The result will be a collaborative sculpture depicting a Saskatchewan farm scene.
