The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport (PCS) is seeking a confident, motivated and results-oriented individual to manage the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation (SHF). The Manager oversees the operation management of the Foundation in accordance with the mission, vision and goals of the SHF Board and provides strategic leadership, stewardship and direction to advance the Foundation’s mandate and to position it as the lead heritage funding agency in Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister (Stewardship Division) of Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport (PCS), the Foundation Manager will:

Provide policy planning and leadership including developing and implementing long-range strategic priorities and corresponding business/operating plans and policies;

As Foundation Manager, you will be a strategic and results-orientated individual and must have excellent communications, interpersonal and networking skills.  As well, the successful candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and adjust to a challenging environment.  Your understanding and appreciation of current trends and issues in built-heritage conservation and management with in the province and nationally and your general knowledge of heritage conservation principles, standards and best practices are important assets.  Some in-province and out-of-province travel is required.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a post-secondary degree and professional experience working with non-profit trusts, foundations, and funding organizations, especially in the culture and heritage sector.  The ideal candidate will also have knowledge and appreciation of the history, historic architecture, and historical geography of Saskatchewan.
